Me and my interests.


I am 30 years, from Norway and I work as a DP Operator on offshore&subsea construction ships.My main interest is the DP systems and referencesystems used in the maritime sector.
I was first introduced to DP in the early 90's, while working as AB on Solstad ships.But it was first when I joined the Ostensjo fleet as a Officer I got the opportunity to use the DP and see how effective it was and the possibilities it has.Ostensjo Rederi was one of the pioneers with DP on the supplyships in the North Sea in the 80's.
Then the interest for DP was born and I have had the pleasure of working with most of the DP brands in different aspects of the offshore industry.
I also have a big interest in computers, both building and programming.
The last years the technology in the offshore industry have advanced very rapid and I wonder what the next generation DP systems will bring.
